Frequently Asked Questions - Registration Questions

The materila used for construction of the "upper" portion of the shoe must be leather or some combination of leather and mesh and not neoprene and must not be secured via a zipper but must be laced. We suggest Merrill Moab Ventilator Mid. Great shoe!

Upon registration you will be able to select which wave you would prefer to participate in, and will receive a confirmation email once the registration is complete. (Please note that some trophy divisions may only have one time slot).

The minimum age is 12, with parental consent.  Parents accept liability for their children and release Mud Run from any liability resulting in injury, accident or death of any participant of any age.

Someone can pick up you packet for you as long as you complete the consent form and provide that person with a copy of your driver’s license.  These two items will need to be presented at packet pick up.

DGAP is essentially the “fun run” division. There are no requirements for attire, gender or team size. Enter as an individual in the DGAP division. You can wear anything you want, form up in any group size, wear tennis shoes, wear shorts, wear costumes, take your time and have fun all along the way.

The Trophy/Competitive Division on the other hand, is for competitive participants who are looking to win. All Trophy/Competitive Divisions (teams and individuals) will be wearing “boots and utes” — combat boots and camouflage utility trousers or long pants. All Prize Category participants MUST wear BOOTS that cover the ankle and loose-fitting pants, cargo pants or sweat-pants. If you don’t like that, run in the fun run called DGAP… any attire goes (we suggest boots and pants since terrain is rough) and the course is exactly the same.  We have an individual male and female competitive race with no age groups.

Our Kid's Course is just a "Little" version of the fun. Designed for the average 8 Year Old...the race can accommodate ages 3-12. It contains 6-8 obstacles none of which require swimming or any height of note. It is approximately 1 mile to 2k depending on venue and parents are welcome to run alongside their children. Volunteers will assist when needed. There are no winner placing...everyone is a winner for competing and not getting in trouble for being muddy. Children will receive a finisher medal (you are also allowed a t-shirt if you wish but adult small is the smallest size up through all adult sizes.....kid's take home is the medal) and they are welcome to clean up in the wash area after their race. Kid's obstacles are not available for practice or use prior to or after the event. The race is not timed and your child will not receive a timing chip. The kid's event is usually the last event of the day and usually starts at 2pm. Check your city's registration for details.

Yes participants 21 and older will receive one free beer upon completion (in most locations). You must have your wristband (will receive at packet pick-up) on and you must show ID. No ID and wristband, NO BEER…

Anyone who is 12 years old or older by the day of the event can participate. Participants under the age of 18 must have adult pick up packet and sign waiver.

Your registration fee and donations are non-refundable and non-transferable.
